Working Together to Take Justice Back
(Editor's note: The following blog is from Linda Lipsen, CEO of the American Association for Justice)
Take Justice Back—AAJ's grassroots advocacy campaign—uses your client's stories to fight for and protect the civil justice system. With a network of more than 75,000 online supporters, we send messages to lawmakers, federal agencies, and corporations, urging them to support the 7th Amendment and access to justice. Since its creation in 2012, Take Justice Back has sent more than 1 million emails to our pro-civil-justice advocates who have taken action by writing their elected officials, commenting on important federal rulemakings, and signing petitions that discourage bad corporate behavior.
During this year's Annual Convention, you received emails highlighting some of the work we do to protect the civil justice system. But we can’t do it alone. We rely on you to tell us your stories and put us in contact with your clients. We build upon these stories to tell decision makers in Washington, D.C., that real people are being cheated by bad corporate behavior. Whether it is forced arbitration, safety labeling on generic drugs, medical malpractice, or consumer product safety, the civil justice system is designed to give those who have been harmed a chance to seek justice in court. Take Justice Back works to protect your clients’ rights.
If you have a story you’d like to share with Take Justice Back, please contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (202) 965-3500. Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. Become an activist and tell your elected officials that you support the 7th Amendment, and they should too. Together, we can take justice back!
