Support Sfc. Richard Stayskal

“The Sfc. Richard Stayskal Military Medical Accountability Act of 2019” protects servicemembers from medical malpractice and restores one of their basic legal protections. This critical legislation would allow for active duty military men and women to seek justice when they are injured or killed by medical malpractice.

Nearly 70 years ago, the Supreme Court issued a bad decision that servicemembers could not sue and seek civil justice when physically harmed as the result of care received at military hospitals. Now is the time for Congress to right this wrong and protect our brave men and women who serve.

Congress originally intended for servicemembers and their families to be able to seek justice when they are physically injured or killed from improper medical care. The Sfc. Richard Stayskal Military Medical Accountability Act of 2019 restores those rights.

It’s time we start protecting the rights of those fighting for ours.
